Cancellation & Refund Policy for Program & Service Fees

REFUND POLICY FOR CLINICAL TRAINING AND COMMUNICATION PROGRAM (CTCP) MODULES
Australian-based events
Participants are entitled to a full refund of the tuition fees for a CTCP Module if they withdraw greater than 30 days prior to the event. Withdrawal from the program less than 30 days, but greater than 14 days prior to the program may result in CDI paying financial penalties due to venue commitments and administration. Participants will therefore be eligible for a partial refund at the discretion of CDI management. Participants that withdraw less than 14 days prior to an event or fail to attend the event will not be eligible for a refund.
Overseas (non-Australian) events
Participants are entitled to a full refund of the tuition fees for a CTCP Module if they withdraw greater than 42 days prior to the event. A refund after this date is not possible, as such action typically results in CDI paying financial penalties due to venue commitments, travel expenses and administration required well in advance of events dependent on a quota. Participants that fail to attend the entire event or part thereof, will not be eligible for a refund.
REFUND FOR CLINICAL MASTERCLASSES (HELD IN AUSTRALIA)
Participants are entitled to a full refund of the tuition fees if they withdraw greater than 30 days prior to the event, however an administrative fee of $80 may be charged to cover CDI’s administrative fees incurred. Participants that withdraw less than 30 days before the event or after attending part of the event are not entitled to a refund. The participant may be able to attend the same training program at another time or location.
REFUND POLICY FOR SUBSCRIPTION-BASED ONLINE LEARNING SERVICES
Subscription fees paid for CDI's web-based services, including annual subscriptions to ACADEMIA are not refundable after clients complete and submit CDI's online payment system for these services.
CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SUBSCRIPTION-BASED ONLINE LEARNING SERVICES
Subscription to the ACADEMIA online learning service requires an initial 12-month minimum commitment. Clients agree to a minimum commitment of AUD $480 (plus GST for Australia residents) as a condition of subscription, which is structured as a monthly payment of AUD $40 (plus GST for Australian residents) for 12 months. If the subscription is cancelled within the initial 12-month minimum commitment period then the unpaid portion of the minimum commitment becomes payable immediately. CDI reserves the right to charge the unpaid portion of the minimum commitment to the client's credit card. If the unpaid portion is not paid within 30 days of cancellation within the 12-month minimum period, the certificates for all continuing education activities completed during the initial 12-month period will be cancelled and will not be recognised under circumstances of audit by registering authorities. After the completion of the initial 12-month minimum period, the subscription will automatically cancel as this option is no longer offered. CDI may, at its discretion allow a monthly subscription to continue on a rolling basis, though reserves the right to cancel this at any time. Clients may cancel a rolling subscription at any time after the initial minimum period has elapsed, although all subscription fees already paid are non-refundable.
PAYMENT DEFAULT POLICY FOR SUBSCRIPTION-BASED ONLINE LEARNING SERVICES
It is the subscriber's responsibility to ensure that PayPal payments are able to be processed. CDI will take reasonable measures to alert subscribers via email if a recurring payment fails due to PayPal account issues. If a recurring payment fails to be processed three times within the initial minimum 12-month subscription period, then the subscription will be automatically cancelled and cancellation policy within the minimum period above will apply.
POLICY FOR THE PURCHASE OF CREDIT HOURS FOR ONLINE LEARNING SERVICES
Fees paid for credit hours for ACADEMIA online learning programs are non-refundable after clients complete and submit CDI's online payment system for these services. Credit hours are non-transferrable. Credit hours do not expire.
